Leadership isn’t about climbing to the top—it’s about being the one who catches the hardest problems at the bottom. It’s not glamorous, but it’s real. True leaders serve first, support always, and show up when it matters most. This is my kind of leadership.
A refreshing perspective on leadership, and thought provoking. It's well documented that the length of tenure for CEOs in the US has dropped significantly to where over 50% of CEOs in the S&P 500 last 5 yr or less, and 13% wash out in the first year. Maybe if more of them were grounded in principle, and were willing to get in the trenches and get their hands dirty, there wouldn't be so much turnover.
This hit home. Leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about trust, grit, and showing up when it’s hard. It aligns perfectly with what I believe leadership should be, and I’m grateful someone put it into words.

Leadership is the root of the tree, providing nourishment so the people can blossom! Thanks again for sharing.
